My Services
Life can present challenges that may feel overwhelming. I offer compassionate and personalised therapy services, focusing on providing a supportive and confidential space where you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. With a deep respect for your unique experiences and the belief that you know yourself best, I tailor each therapy session to meet your individual needs. This approach allows your to begin exploring what's going on in your life while promoting growth and self-awareness.
I provide individual online therapy to adults via Zoom, making it convenient for you to access professional support from the comfort of your own home. Sessions can be scheduled on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on your individual needs. Each session lasts 50-minutes and is typically scheduled for the same day and time each week, though we can discuss flexibility during our initial assessment.
During the assessment, we will explore your goals and discuss how we can work together towards positive change.
I specialise in grief and loss, anger and frustration management, and self-esteem issues. Additionally, I can support you in addressing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, historical issues, life changes and pressures.
Together, we will navigate any challenges you are facing. My aim is to empower you to move forward and discover the person you want to be.

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process
is the bravest thing that we will ever do"
Brené Brown - The Gifts of Imperfection
(my version of) what to expect from therapy
Before you arrived here, you may have researched what therapy entails and noticed that the terms “counselling” and “therapy” are often used interchangeably. For consistency, I will refer to “therapy” throughout this website.
Some key points you may already be aware of:
Therapy provides a space where you can feel safe enough to discuss what is concerning you.
The relationship with your therapist is paramount. It should be built on trust, where you can be seen, heard, and truly understood. This relationship is characterised by empathy, compassion, and a non-judgemental approach.
I believe that the therapist-client relationship is key, which is why I want to share some important insights:
Therapy can be challenging: I mention this not to scare or intimidate you, but to share an honest perspective for your consideration and well-being. Therapy can sometimes be frustrating, painful, or surprising. While you may have a clear agenda for your sessions, unexpected issues and emotions may arise. You will always have the choice to pursue a subject, put it on hold, or not discuss it at all. Once we establish a mutually trusting relationship, there may be times when I challenge you to help you look deeper and gain a clearer understanding and appreciation of yourself. As Brené Brown said; "Only when we’re brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."
Anger (and swearing) is not something to be shied away from: Anger is a natural and valid emotion that serves as an important signal, indicating that something in our environment or within ourselves needs attention. Avoiding or suppressing anger can lead to unresolved issues, increased stress, and even physical health problems. Instead of shying away from this powerful emotion, it is crucial to understand and explore it, as it can provide valuable insights into our boundaries, values, and unmet needs. By acknowledging and processing anger, we can transform it into a constructive force that fosters personal growth, enhances communication, and ultimately leads to healthier relationships with ourselves and others.
No two therapists are the same: It's natural not to connect with everyone you meet, including your therapist. The relationship between a client and their therapist, known as the "therapeutic alliance", is crucial to the healing process. Building trust and comfort can take time, but if you struggle to connect, it's important to express your feelings to your therapist. While it may feel daunting, this honesty can enhance your sense of connection. When you feel a genuine bond with your therapist, you are more likely to engage, share vulnerably, and pursue meaningful change. This relationship is a cornerstone of effective therapy. Finding the right therapist is essential for a successful therapeutic alliance, and I want you to work with someone who truly meets your needs, even if that isn't me.
